This is the atmosphere of the vilage of Michałowice, call it retro, call it old fashioned, call it neglected…. It is the atmosphere that we were looking for when buying our plot of land!
Beautiful composition and I like the selective DoF. That is something is really miss with my GX100. The post processing was quite hard, because of the halo effect around the pole and the sky.
It is absolutely great that you share some Poland photographs. Keep on posting Ronald!
This picture remembered me the times when my grandfather took me with him to his little house in the countryside..pick up the fruits from the trees and visit the neighbours (cow milking experience included, something todays kids are simply too far away from..).
I don´t know what it was, but everything about those days was flavour and smell..And the pace: I can´t remember ever seeing my grandfather in a rush, we allways walked slow but firm, enjoying every single thing the world had to offer. And everyboy seemed so wise, nobody knew computer stuff, engineering or mathematics (forget about photography) but wisdom and common sense were allways floating in the air.
I miss those days, ans if there is one word to describe your photograph that would be : evocative
I can see you having some of the moments of your life in that plot of your´s..Thanks for today´s share of (beautifull) nostalgia..
Thank you both, Indeed wouter, this one was with quite some ‘ filled light’ to put focus on the sign…
Beautiful words, erik, indeed sometimes I wish we had less and could go back to the old days were life would have been hard, but without todays stress, rush etc..
It is my goal to try and live life slower and enjoy more! sometimes I succeed, those are the happy days

Great picture, really like the sky and the mood the picture evokes.
